As the 2026 season gets underway, Lucky Sport Cycling Team has implemented several changes within the staff and management structure around the team.
We would like to begin by thanking Therese Sundström, Head Soigneur, and Adam Granberg, Head Mechanic, who are both leaving the team. We thank them for their dedication and contribution to the team’s first season and wish them the very best of luck in their future endeavors.
Sporting Management
On the sporting side, the structure has been adjusted to strengthen both leadership and day-to-day performance support.
Erik Ekman steps up into the role of Director Sportif, while continuing his responsibilities as Head of Sport. In this combined role, Erik remains responsible for the entire sporting direction of the team, including race strategy, squad planning, and long-term performance development.
Martin Söderholm transitions from Director Sportif to Assistant Director Sportif, allowing him to place greater focus on rider coaching, training structure, and individual performance development.
Joining the team for 2026 is Morten Hegreberg from Norway, who takes on the role of Assistant Director Sportif. Morten brings valuable experience both as a former professional rider and from his work as Director Sportif during the formation and development of Team Coop, now known as Team Drali – Repsol. His background adds important depth and international experience to the sporting leadership group.
