Lucky Sport Cycling Team has decided to part ways with Viktor Lychou, Johan Borgström, Wincent Wallinder, Wilhelm Wallinder, and Hugo Persson who was with us for the final part of the season.
It is never easy to say goodbye. All of these riders have been part of our family during our first year — from the very first team gathering in December to our historic first victory at Östgötaloppet, where the entire squad was present.
We want to thank each rider for their contributions and commitment throughout the season, and we wish them the very best in the future — whether they continue their cycling careers or pursue new paths in life.
Viktor Lychou
Viktor was one of the key riders throughout our inaugural season, racing the majority of events with the team. He claimed the first-ever victory in Lucky Sport Cycling Team’s history by winning Östgötaloppet, finished 6th at the Swedish National Championships, and achieved multiple top-10 results in UCI races. We thank Viktor for his dedication and strong performances throughout the year.
Johan Borgström
A crucial part of our 2nd-place team time trial performance at the Baltic Chain Tour, Johan was a rider who always brought energy and positivity to the team — giving his all in every race and lifting those around him.
Wilhelm Wallinder
Wilhelm’s season was unfortunately affected by illness and injury, making it difficult to reach full race rhythm. Despite limited race days, he gave everything for the team each time he pinned on a number, showing professionalism and spirit.
Wincent Wallinder
Wincent also battled his share of setbacks this year, with injuries and illness limiting his consistency. Still, he showed glimpses of his potential — including a 7th place in a UCI stage race — and played a key role in our aggressive racing style throughout the season.
Hugo Persson
Joining late in the season, Hugo became part of our Belgian campaign and represented the team at Gooikse Pijl, where he showed great attitude and strong performances in both the UCI and Pro Kermesse races. We thank Hugo for stepping in at the end of the season and wish him all the best going forward.
Lucky Sport Cycling Team extends a sincere thank you to all five riders for being part of our journey during this first year. Their contributions will always be part of our history.
