Lucky Sport Cycling Team is proud to announce the signing of Karl Kurits, a talented sprinter from Tartu, Estonia, on a contract running through the 2026 season.

Born June 14, 2005, Karl joins Lucky Sport after two years with Israel Premier Tech Academy, where he developed his sprinting skills and gained valuable international experience. He now takes the next step in his career with Lucky Sport Cycling Team as part of the team’s continued expansion and focus on young international talent.

During the 2025 season, Karl established himself as one of the most promising riders in the Baltic region, collecting three UCI stage wins, a youth classification victory, and several strong overall performances.

Highlights include:
• 2nd – GC Tour of Lithuania (UCI 2.2)
• 2x Stage Winner – Tour of Lithuania (UCI 2.2)
• 2nd – Points Classification, Tour of Lithuania (UCI 2.2)
• 4th – National Championships Estonia MU – Road Race
• 1st – Stage Baltic Chain Tour, TTT (UCI 2.2)

As a junior, Karl raced with Team Auto Eder, Red Bull–BORA Hansgrohe’s U19 development program, where he achieved five UCI victories, including one in the Nations Cup series.

Known for his sprinting power and sharp positioning, Karl brings both potential and proven ability to Lucky Sport’s growing U23 and elite squad. His arrival strengthens the team’s presence in fast finishes and flatter races across the Europe Tour calendar.

Karl Kurits on joining Lucky Sport:

When the team reached out to me, I immediately had a good impression. The team’s goals and my personal ambitions align really well, so I can’t wait to start next season with Lucky Sport Cycling Team.

Head of Sport Erik Ekman on the signing:

For 2026, it was important for us to add a rider who could consistently deliver results in the faster races. Karl has shown that he can compete with top riders at the UCI level, and his mentality fits perfectly with the team culture we are building. He brings both speed and hunger — two things every good sprinter needs.

With the addition of Karl Kurits, Lucky Sport Cycling Team continues to build a balanced and competitive roster for the 2026 season — combining young Nordic and Baltic talents with international experience and ambition.
