Lucky Sport Cycling Team is proud to announce the signing of Simen Evertsen-Hegreberg for the upcoming 2026 season.
Simen, born in 2004 in Germany but of Norwegian nationality, joins Lucky after three seasons with Tirol KTM Cycling Team. During his years there, he gained extensive experience from international UCI races and learned to perform consistently in high-level competition.
The 2025 season started on a challenging note with an early injury, but Simen fought his way back and steadily rebuilt his condition throughout the summer. His hard work paid off when he once again represented the Norwegian National Team in the Tour of Norway, marking his third consecutive participation in one of the country’s biggest races. Known for his resilience and strong all-round ability, Simen has repeatedly shown the capacity to perform both in support roles and when given personal opportunities.
Towards the end of the season, Simen lined up in several Belgian kermesse races, where he crossed paths with Lucky Sport Cycling Team. His smart racing, efficient positioning, and ability to read situations quickly left a strong impression on the team management — confirming that he fits perfectly into the culture and ambition of the project.
With Simen joining, Lucky continues to invest in the next generation of Scandinavian riders, reinforcing the U23 segment of the squad with another talented and experienced rider who brings valuable international background and a professional approach to racing.
Simen Evertsen-Hegreberg on joining Lucky:
“I’m really looking forward to joining Lucky Sport Cycling Team. It feels like a great environment to continue developing as a rider, and I’m excited to be part of the team’s journey and contribute to its goals.”
Erik Ekman, Head of Sport, on the signing:
“I met Simen and followed him closely during our final Belgian race block, and he immediately stood out. Both his attitude and performance showed maturity and a clear sense of what’s required to reach the next level. Bringing in riders like Simen fits perfectly with our vision — ambitious, driven, and ready to take that next step together with the team.”
With this addition, Lucky Sport Cycling Team strengthens its international core and takes another step towards the 2026 season, which will feature an expanded race calendar across Europe.
