Lucky Sport Cycling Team is pleased to announce that Erik Ekman will join the sporting staff for the remainder of the season as Assistant Directeur Sportif and Head of Sport.

Erik, one of the co-founders of the team, has since the very beginning worked behind the scenes on the administrative side – developing the team’s social media, marketing, sponsor relations and overall reach. Since the start of the summer, it has been clear that he would step into a bigger role within the sporting team, and he has already been heavily involved in building the roster for next season.

“I’m really happy to be able to join the team,” Erik says.
“With my background as a rider and my experience working closely with juniors and U23 riders through Svealand Cycling Team, where I have been General Manager since 2023, I feel ready to take this step. I am a very detail-oriented Directeur Sportif: I make clear presentations for every race and every stage, I ensure we have a well-prepared plan, and since taking over Svealand we’ve seen great success thanks to that preparation.

I’ve been working day and night these past months to strengthen Lucky Sport’s structure, partnerships and roster, and I’m excited to now take a more active role on the sporting side as well. Things are progressing well, and we hope to bring you more news in the coming weeks – maybe even days.

I’m very excited for the end of the 2025 season and to see what 2026 will bring.”

With Erik joining the sports management team, Lucky Sport Cycling Team continues to strengthen its foundation as we move into the final races of the season and prepare for an exciting new chapter in 2026.
