Lucky Sport Cycling Team is ready to open the 2026 season with an ambitious and demanding spring program, marking a clear step forward in the team’s sporting development. The schedule reflects higher ambitions, a broader squad, and a clear intention to compete against strong international opposition from the very start of the season.
The season begins in Spain in mid February with two high level races. Lucky Sport Cycling Team will line up for the stage race Vuelta a la Región de Murcia on February 13 and 14, followed by the one day race Clásica Jaén on February 16. Starting the season in Spain against WorldTour and ProTeams sets the tone for the year and provides an immediate test of the team’s level early in the season.
Following the Spanish opener, the team will relocate to Belgium from March 1, establishing its base for an intensive spring block. March will feature the team’s first double headers of the season, combining races in the Netherlands and France. The schedule includes Salverda Bouw Ster van Zwolle and Dorpenomloop Rucphen in the Netherlands, alongside the French races Le Tour des 100 Communes and Grand Prix de la Ville de Lillers. The month concludes with Youngster Coast Challenge and the prestigious stage race Olympia’s Tour, offering valuable opportunities for both U23 and older riders to gain experience in demanding stage racing.
April continues with a strong mix of international and domestic racing. The team will start with Boucle de l’Artois before taking on Circuit des Ardennes. In the Netherlands, Lucky Sport Cycling Team will compete in HLC Omloop van de Braakman. Towards the end of the month, the focus shifts to Sweden, where the team will field a full squad and organization for the opening SWE Cup weekend, including SWE Cup Kinnekulle and SWE Cup Jönköping. With the entire podium from Kinnekulle currently represented within the team, the ambition is clear to defend that prestige on home roads.
May will be the most intense month of the spring, featuring twelve UCI race days and a tightly packed schedule. Several high profile races stand out, including Grand Prix Criquielion, Lotto Famenne Ardenne Classic, and Circuit de Wallonie, all ranked 1.1 and known for strong international start lists. The team will also complete a Scandinavian block with the Danish double header Fyn Rundt and Grand Prix Herning, followed by the Norwegian races Sundvolden GP and Ringerike GP.
In total, Lucky Sport Cycling Team’s spring program for 2026 consists of 23 UCI races, providing a comprehensive and demanding platform for rider development, performance progression, and international exposure.
Erik Ekman, Head of Sport, comments on the schedule
I have worked very hard to build a strong and attractive spring schedule for our riders. We have been in close dialogue with teams and managers at a higher level to understand what makes riders competitive and interesting in the international market. Our goal is to show that we are here to race, that we can compete against tough opposition, and at the same time create opportunities for our riders to take the next step in their careers. We want to grow as a team, while also helping our riders move forward to the highest level.
With this schedule, Lucky Sport Cycling Team enters 2026 with clear intent, strong structure, and a program designed to challenge the squad from day one.
