The team kicked off the Swedish Cup in style, leaving the opening weekend with the coveted yellow jersey after two strong days of racing. Showing ourselves in our home country will always be important for the team, and to have five riders on the start line during one of the busiest periods of the season was something we had worked hard to make happen. Going up against teams with 10 or more riders, we still knew all eyes would be on us and that many would expect us to control the races.

On day one, at the Swedish Cup opener in Kinnekulle, the demanding uphill finish and constant up-and-down style of racing suited Hugo Lennartsson perfectly. Hugo sprinted to an excellent second place from a breakaway group of five riders. The top ten was filled with purple, with Max in sixth, Tedde in seventh, and Peder in ninth. A real show of strength in the opening race.

Day two brought even more success. This time the course was flatter, and we expected a bunch sprint. Tedde delivered with a powerful second place finish, taking valuable points that moved him into the overall lead of the Swedish Cup standings.

The team demonstrated exceptional coordination and determination throughout both races, navigating the action-packed courses set against the backdrop of Sweden’s chilly yet breathtaking landscape.

Being back on home soil is always something special, and to leave with two high-quality race days and the yellow jersey was the perfect reward. A big thank you to everyone who came forward to support us and cheer us on during the weekend.

Congratulations as well to Gustav Lovidius of Södertälje CK and Hugo Forsell of CK Hymer for their respective victories.
