Lucky Sport Cycling Team is proud to announce the signing of Hugo Lennartsson, who joins the team on a one-year contract for the 2026 season.
Born on April 14, 2003, in Mariestad, Sweden, Hugo joins Lucky Sport after spending three seasons in France with AVC Aix-en-Provence, one of the country’s most established development structures. During 2025, when the team made the step up to Continental level, Hugo raced a full international calendar — gaining experience in several demanding UCI races across France and Europe.
A consistent and hard-working rider, Hugo has been part of the Swedish National Team setup since his junior years and has represented Sweden in several U23 Nations Cup events, including the Tour de l’Avenir, where the world’s best young riders line up. Known for his smart racing style, strong engine, and team-oriented mindset, Hugo adds both strength and valuable experience to Lucky Sport’s growing roster for 2026.
After several years abroad, joining Lucky Sport also marks a return home — both geographically and emotionally.
Hugo Lennartsson on joining Lucky Sport:
“I’m really looking forward to coming back to Sweden and racing with a Swedish team again. Lucky Sport has had an impressive first season, and I believe the team will take another big step forward next year. I’m excited to be part of that journey and to contribute both on and off the bike.”
Head of Sport Erik Ekman shared his thoughts on the signing:
“Getting a cyclist with solid experience has been something we’ve been looking for. With Hugo, we bring in a rider who has raced consistently at a high level, combining both experience and speed. He’s someone who can deliver results himself, but also help guide and support our younger riders in the squad. He’s a perfect addition as we prepare for the next step in 2026.”
With the addition of Hugo Lennartsson, Lucky Sport Cycling Team continues to strengthen its Swedish core while adding riders with valuable international experience. The team’s 2026 lineup is taking shape — blending youth, experience, and ambition as Lucky Sport continues its rise on the Europe Tour.
