Lucky Sport Cycling Team is proud to announce the signing of Vilgot Reinhold, born 4 November 2007 in Halmstad, Sweden. on a one year contract through 2026

Vilgot has established himself as one of the most promising young riders in Sweden, standing out as the only Swedish junior to win a UCI race during the 2025 season.

A rider who has been on everyone’s radar for years, Vilgot first made his mark by winning the mountain jersey at Course de la Paix in the U17 category — one of the most prestigious races for young cyclists. As a first-year junior, he faced a challenging season but continued to build steadily. His persistence paid off in his second junior year, where he became a cornerstone of the Swedish National Team, finishing 8th in the World Championships Time Trial, winning a UCI race solo at La Sportbreizh, and taking home the overall victory at the U6 Cycle Tour, including three out of six stage wins.

Vilgot is an exceptional rouleur with a powerful time trial ability, making him a rider capable of shaping races and playing a big role for the team in various situations.

Vilgot on joining Lucky Sport Cycling Team

I’m really excited to become part of Lucky Sport Cycling Team. I believe in their project and the plan they have for both the team and for me personally. It feels like the right next step in my career. I’m looking forward to entering this professional environment and learning from the riders and staff around me.

Head of Sport, Erik Ekman

Vilgot is a cyclist I’ve followed for a long time. Seeing his breakthrough this season has been amazing — a true reflection of the hard work he’s put in over the years. We stayed in contact throughout the season, and although it initially seemed he would join a development structure, when the opportunity arose, we seized it to bring him to Lucky for 2026. We’ve built a clear development plan, and we’re excited to support Vilgot in his next step toward the elite ranks.
